Nanoribbon
A single nanoribbon of self assembled Fmoc-Tyrosine (phosphate)-OH on addittion of alkaline phosphatase (10 DEA per µl). The fibres within the sample were predominantly fibres with a small proportion of ribbons present. Sample preparation: the formvar coated TEM grids were glow discharde for five seconds, placed on the hydrogel for ten seconds, placed on a 10 µl water droplet for sixty seconds, wicked, placed on a 10 µl droplet of Uranyl Acetate (3%) for sixty seconds, wicked and viewed using a Philips Tecnai 12 Biotwin at 9.3KeV onto Kodak 4489 film.
