With the world becoming more complex and technologies interwoven, the solutions to problems inevitably become multi-disciplinary and can require knowledge and skills from diverse sectors. To address the "big" challenges such as energy, transport and the environment, the School of Materials was established and incorporates the Corrosion and Protection Science, Materials Science, and Textiles and Paper Science activities.
