Materials Science Centre
The Materials Science Centre is shown on the University Campus Map as Building 25, near the junction of Grosvenor Street and Upper Brook Street.
Visitors should report to Room B1, to the left just after entering the building.
Directions to the Manchester Materials Science Centre
Arriving by Rail:
From Oxford Road Station(BR)
From the main exit, walk down Station Approach and turn right along Oxford Street. Walk past the Manchester Metropolitan University and under the Mancunian Way. At the crossroads with the Royal Northern College of Music on one corner, turn left onto Grosvenor Street (past the Flea and Firkin pub). The entrance to the Manchester Materials Science Centre is on the right, just before the junction with Upper Brook Street. Follow the sign for Manchester Campus South.
From Manchester Piccadilly Station (BR and Metrolink)
From the main exit, walk down Station Approach, turn left across London Road to Auburn Street, then left onto Aytoun Steet. The Sackville Street building is ahead across Whitworth Street. Walk past the Manchester campus along Sackville Street, taking the underpass under the Mancunian Way. Walk along Upper Brook Street to the pedestrain crossing. The Manchester Materials Science Centre is at the junction of Upper Brook Street and Grosvenor Street. Follow the sign for Manchester Campus South.
Arriving by Car:
The centre is best approached by the A34 (Upper Brook Street) from the South or from the A57(M) (Mancunian Way), taking the exit for the A34. The car park entrance is on Grosvenor Street , which is a one-way street. Follow the signs for Manchester Campus South.
