Dr Yanlong Ma

I obtained my BSc and MSc in materials science and engineering from Chongqing University in 2001 and 2004 respectively. After a short experience in industry, I then worked as a lecturer in Chongqing University of Technology since 2005. I started PhD research in the Corrosion and Protection Centre, The University of Manchester, in January 2008. I received my PhD from The University of Manchester in January 2011. After completion of the PhD, I continued my research on corrosion and protection of light alloys as a Visiting Scientist since February 2011.

In August 2011, I was appointed Research Associate in the Corrosion and Protection Centre. My research is mainly associated with the correlation between microstructure and corrosion resistance and surface treatment of light alloy materials.
