Associate Scientist programme
Associates are primarily researchers but not exclusively academic. They are appointed for a number of reasons: special expertise in an area complementary to the MPC and relevant to nuclear materials technology, interest in jointly training students and staff in relevant areas and facilitation of international links.
Principals of Academic Staff Associate Membership of the Materials Performance Centre
- This programme aims to develop pathways for long-term professional interaction to maximise the research activity of the MPC
- Associate members benefit from attendance at appropriate meetings of the MPC, participation in mechanisms for promoting and funding collaborative research with the nuclear industries.
- Associates will commit to:
- participating in up to 2 one-day meetings per year for brainstorming and planning
- identify suitable research topics and grant applications
- adhere to IPR policy and confidentiality
