PDRA opportunities

The Materials Performance Centre is an interdisciplinary research centre within The School of Materials - the largest academic materials focus in Europe, with a global reputation for excellence. Strong links with industrial partners provide opportunities for industrial placement across Europe and the USA, giving our researchers an excellent launch-pad for their future careers.

Researchers in the MPC also have access to advanced research facilities and enjoy the chance to travel to international conferences. On top of all of this, we have recently been able to enhance the stipend on all our PhD research opportunities.

Opportunities currently exist for high quality Post-Doctoral Research Associates in the areas of:

Corrosion and environmentally-assisted cracking

Core Materials

Nuclear Graphite

Materials Modelling

Structural Integrity

Our PDRA opportunities are available to those with a degree in Materials Science, Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or other relevant numerate discipline.
