Come and find out more about the exciting world of materials science this summer at The University of Manchester!
Calling all Year 10 and 11 students! Would you like to find out what life is like for an engineering student at The University of Manchester? Then our Henry Royce materials summer school is for you. This residential summer school lets you take part in lectures, practical lab sessions and team challenges with current engineering students and our world-class academic staff.
Over the course of the summer school you will discover more about the fascinating field of materials science, and see how we design materials for aerospace and create biomedical implants for the human body.

Dates: Monday 1 July - Thursday 4 July
Location: North Campus, The University of Manchester
Cost: £200 with a £25 deposit to secure your place (cost includes all expenses except transport to and from the summer school)
Bursary: £175 for students who meet academic and widening-participation criteria
